Soko Morinaga Roshi (1925-1995) has his death anniversary on 15th June and is commemorated at Shobo-an and Fairlight Zen Training Temples due to his close association with Master Daiyu (Myokyo-ni).

For many years he attended The Buddhist Society Summer School and gave a number of profound teachings including commentaries on the Mumonkan Koan cases. These talks, which were recorded, have now been transcribed and are available in book form as Mumonkan: The Gateless Gate by Soko Morinaga Roshi.

This talk recounts Martin's memories of encounters and stories he heard from Soko Roshi on his many visits to the U.K.
